Obituary for Paul J Leonardi
Paul J Leonardi, a lifelong resident of Brooklyn, NY passed away on Tuesday January 4, 2022 at the age of 73.
Paul is survived by his loving daughter Mary (Stanley) Maynard, 2 precious grandsons Sherman and Henry Maynard, several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He is predeceased by his parents Albert and Mary Leonardi and sister Catherine Sanzone.
Paul served in the US Navy aboard the USS Robert L Wilson and was Honorably discharged in 1971. After his service he went on to a fulfilling career as a doorman and security guard before enjoying his retirement. Paul also pursued his dream of being an actor by being an extra in some small movies and plays. Two years ago he realized his vision of becoming a published author with the release of his first children's book, Suzies Rainbow Collection.
In Paul's memory he would encourage everyone to find the rainbow hidden within the storm and to follow your dreams no matter how far-fetched they may seem. And lastly, he would want you to say the corny joke out loud, more people will find the humor in it than they are willing to admit.
