OBITUARY
Howard Brunache was born on July 21, 1971 to Adrienne & Benoit Brunache in Bed-Stuy Brooklyn. The family later moved to East Flatbush where he grew up on Brooklyn Avenue and spent most of his young adult life. Brooklyn Avenue held a special place in his heart. It was where he and his siblings would cultivate lifelong friendships with some of his closest friends, affectionately known as BKA. In 1991, Howard graduated from Sheepshead Bay High School. He was a proud member of the Sheepshead Bay Sharks JV and Varsity football teams. He went on to complete two years of college studies at Sullivan County community college in Lock Sheldrake NY.
Howard graduated from the New York City Police Academy in 1995. He worked in the 34th district as a transit police officer for 20 years before he retired. His decision to enter a career in Law Enforcement, planted seeds into his local community. Many of his close family and friends also went on to pursue careers in law enforcement as well. His eldest daughter Jazmin has aspirations of attending law school.
Howard enjoyed music, laughter, motorcycles, football, & steaks! He loved to laugh and didn’t allow those around him to take themselves too seriously.
He was a beloved son, father, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his father Benoit, stepmother Gerta, his five siblings James, Myrlene, Benity, Antoinette, and Jason. He is also survived by six daughters, Jazmin, Jada, Jalyn, Diamond, Jade and Tianna. He leaves behind cherished memories for his nieces and nephews, Adrien, Mia-Lynn, Caleb, Kaitlyn, Christian, William, Brianna, Luther and Jon Luke. He adored his family and enjoyed the time he spent with cousins, too many to mention. We can proudly say Howie always demonstrated profound love and respect for his aunts and uncles Pierre, Jean, Emile (deceased), Lucille (deceased), Amarante (deceased), aunt Fifine (deceased) and aunt Yoland (deceased).
Our prayer is that Howard was greeted joyfully in heaven by Jesus himself, and all of the family members who have gone home before him and that his mother Adrienne and grandmother Mercedes were standing at the gates of heaven with opened arms.
